Kerry Brown is a writer and consultant on the contemporary politics, political economy, and society of China. He is head of the Asia Programme at Chatham House in London, Team Leader of the Europe China Research and Advice Network, and is the editor-in-chief of the Berkshire Dictionary of Chinese Biography (2013).

Winberg Chai, Professor Emeritus of political science at the University of Wyoming, is the Executive Editor of Asian Affairs, and served as the subject editor for the Taiwan articles in the Berkshire Encyclopedia of China.

Linsun Cheng is an economic historian at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. He studies the modern history of China’s industrial and financial development and economic reforms since 1978.
